Every spring Happy Valley Capital holds a premiere pitch competition where student-run startups go head-to-head to compete for prizes up to $10,000. The Spring 2020 competition was sponsored by the Farrell Center for Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship and featured a panel of judges including entrepreneurs and a venture capitalist from California. Join us in Spring 2021 for the next competition!

The Spring 2020 competition included 5 finalists teams,  DACTR, FamilyFirst, Xtralyfe, SuperCulture, and StateNotes, that competed for a total of $10,000 in scholarships. The judging panel included Penn State alumni Jeff Josephson, co-founder and COO of Crowdjoy now Managing Director of ISM Connect, and Caleb Bell, past founder and current venture partner at Beyond Next Venture, along with Lindsay Fairman, former founder & CEO of Shelf Scooter now Managing Director of Align Advisors.  

The first place winner was DACTR, the second place winner was FamilyFirst, and the third place winner was Xtralyfe.
